When Still Online — Terms & Conditions
Effective October 15, 2026
When Still Online is operated by Nixon Tran. These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the When Still website, online courses, member areas, live sessions, 1:1 Studio appointments, and related services.
By creating an account, purchasing a course, or participating in When Still Online, you agree to these Terms, the applicable Course & Enrollment Policies, and the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
When Still Online is available only to individuals aged 18 years or older.
By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.
2. Personal enrollment and account access
Each enrollment and student account is intended for one individual student only.
Accounts, login credentials, course access, lesson videos, live-session recordings, written materials, and other member-only resources may not be shared with another person.
Students are responsible for maintaining the security of their account and login information.
3. Accurate information
Students must provide accurate and current information when enrolling, including their name, email address and, where relevant, Sogetsu ID or previous-teacher information.
Students are responsible for keeping their contact information current.
4. Payments and currency
All When Still Online prices and payments are stated and charged in United States dollars (USD).
Banks and payment providers may apply currency conversions, foreign-transaction charges, or other fees. These charges are outside When Still’s control.
Students are responsible for taxes, duties, bank charges, payment-provider fees, or other charges imposed in their jurisdiction except where such amounts are collected automatically at checkout.
5. Course materials and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, original lesson videos, demonstrations, written explanations, supplementary resources, graphics, photographs, teaching notes, live-session recordings, and other materials created by When Still are owned by When Still or their respective creators.
Enrollment grants the student a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use these materials for private study during the applicable access period.
Students may not reproduce, download, redistribute, sell, publish, publicly display, upload, or otherwise provide When Still course materials to another person without written permission.
Materials, trademarks, textbooks, curriculum content, and intellectual property belonging to Sogetsu or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Personal study notes and screenshots
Students may take handwritten or digital notes and limited screenshots for their own private study and reference.
These materials may not be distributed, uploaded, published, sold, shared, or used to reproduce When Still course content.
7. Recording prohibited
Students may not independently video-record, screen-record, audio-record, livestream, or otherwise film lesson videos, supplementary content, Guided Study sessions, demonstrations, 1:1 Studio appointments, or other member-only course activity.
Students may not record another participant’s image, voice, work, questions, or personal information without permission.
8. Applying what you learn
Students are encouraged to use the techniques, principles, and knowledge learned through When Still Online in their own creative practice, professional floral work, and future teaching.
This permission does not include copying, reproducing, distributing, selling, or teaching directly from When Still’s original videos, written materials, graphics, recordings, or other proprietary content.
9. Student work and authorship
Students retain ownership of their own ikebana designs, photographs, written reflections, and other original creative work.
Enrollment does not transfer ownership of student work to When Still.
Students may publicly share photographs of their own finished arrangements made during When Still courses. Tagging or crediting When Still is appreciated but not required.
Students may not present creative work made by Nixon Tran, a When Still instructor, guest practitioner, or another student as their own.
10. Sharing instructor feedback
Students may quote or share written evaluations they personally receive from When Still, provided the feedback is not altered in a misleading way and does not disclose another student’s private information or protected course material.
11. When Still name and branding
The When Still name, logo, visual identity, and related branding may not be used without permission in a manner that suggests a student, instructor, business, event, or course is officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of When Still.
Students may accurately state that they have studied with When Still or completed a When Still Online course.
12. Guided Study recordings
Guided Study sessions are recorded for educational use within When Still Online.
By participating in a recorded session, students understand that their voice, camera image, shared screen, questions, photographs, and designs may appear in the recording.
Students are not required to keep their camera on.
Recordings are provided only to eligible students during the applicable recording-access period and may not be copied, downloaded, redistributed, or publicly shared.
Separate permission is required before When Still uses an identifiable student’s live-session participation publicly for marketing or promotional purposes.
13. Community conduct
When Still Online is intended to provide a respectful learning environment.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive language, persistent disruption, or behavior that interferes with another person’s ability to participate will not be accepted.
Students may not independently reproduce or distribute another participant’s image, voice, creative work, critique, question, or personal information without permission.
14. Suspension or termination
When Still may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, including account sharing, unauthorized distribution of course materials, harassment, abusive behavior, disruptive conduct, unauthorized recording, or misrepresentation of another person’s work.
Where appropriate, When Still may first issue a warning.
Serious breaches may result in immediate suspension or termination.
Termination for breach does not automatically create a right to a refund.
15. Safety and personal responsibility
Students are responsible for maintaining a safe workspace and using flowers, branches, vessels, water, cutting tools, mechanics, and other materials appropriately.
Course demonstrations are provided for educational purposes. Students remain responsible for exercising appropriate judgment when using tools or attempting techniques shown in the course.
To the extent permitted by law, When Still is not responsible for injury or property damage resulting from unsafe or inappropriate use of tools or materials.
16. Educational outcomes
Individual progress will vary.
Enrollment does not guarantee a particular artistic result, professional or financial outcome, Sogetsu qualification, teaching status, or completion within a particular timeframe.
Official Sogetsu credentials remain subject to the applicable curriculum, study requirements, application process, fees, and approval by Sogetsu headquarters.
17. Live-session changes
When Still may reschedule, postpone, or cancel a Guided Study live session when reasonably necessary due to instructor illness, travel, technical problems, holidays, emergencies, or other circumstances affecting normal operations.
Where practical, When Still will provide notice and may offer a rescheduled session or reasonable alternative.
18. Course updates
When Still may update, replace, reorganize, expand, or improve lesson videos, supplementary resources, instructors, live-session schedules, teaching materials, or course organization during enrollment.
Changes will not intentionally reduce the core curriculum or access already purchased.
19. Technology and platform availability
When Still Online relies on third-party technology and internet services.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, internet outages, technical failures, payment-system problems, video-hosting issues, or other circumstances outside When Still’s control.
Where a technical issue materially affects a purchased service, When Still will make reasonable efforts to restore access, reschedule the affected activity, or provide a reasonable alternative.
Temporary interruptions do not automatically create a right to a refund.
20. Events outside our control
When Still is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control, including natural disasters, serious illness, government restrictions, civil emergencies, major infrastructure failures, or similar events.
Where reasonably possible, When Still will work to restore access, reschedule affected services, or provide an alternative arrangement.
21. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Students who believe there is an error involving a payment, enrollment, refund, or charge should first contact When Still so the issue can be reviewed.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute does not automatically create a right to a refund outside the applicable refund policy.
22. Changes to these Terms
When Still may update these Terms as courses, technology, business operations, or legal requirements change.
The current version will be published with an effective or last-updated date.
Where a change materially affects an active student’s purchased rights or services, reasonable notice will be provided where appropriate.
23. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of California, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply in the student’s jurisdiction.
